Honoring a Decade of Impact: Easy Water for Everyone Co-Founders Enstooled as Development Chief and Queen in Ghana

In an unforgettable climax to Easy Water for Everyone’s 10th Anniversary celebrations, co-founders Nathan W. Levin and Linda Donald were honored with one of Ghana’s highest cultural accolades—enstoolment as Development Chief and Queen Mother of Pediatokorpe in Ada East, Greater Accra Region. While Nathan was rightly enstooled and outdoored with the stool name “Nene Pakporm Nyukpakpa Noryami Mantse,” Linda was enstooled with the stool name “Naana Pakporm Nyukpakpa Noryami Manye”. To wit, Ada Islands Water and Health Development Chief and Queen. This remarkable recognition wasn’t just ceremonial—it was the heartfelt expression of a grateful community, celebrating a decade of partnership, transformation, and life-saving impact through clean, safe water. In Ghana, the title of “Development Chief or Queen Mother” is a formal honor bestowed upon distinguished individuals who have significantly contributed to local development. They act as a bridge between traditional authority and modern development initiatives. They play a key role in promoting social cohesion, advocating for community needs, and encouraging national programs and development projects. A Celebration of Legacy and Love The colorful durbar, held on Tuesday, May 12, 2025, brought together the Member of Parliament for Ada, Hon. Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, traditional leaders, health officials, schoolchildren, and opinion leaders to pay tribute to the organization’s 10-year journey. Cultural performances, traditional music, and dancing filled the air, symbolizing the deep connection between Easy Water for Everyone and beneficiary communities. Community leaders spoke with emotion and admiration, hailing Nathan and Linda’s unwavering commitment to providing potable water and restoring dignity to some of Ghana’s most vulnerable communities. Water that Saves Lives The Medical Superintendent of the Ada East District Hospital, Dr. Philip Narh, provided a powerful testimony about the critical role #EasyWater played during the Akosombo Dam spillage disaster in October 2023, which displaced thousands and sparked a cholera outbreak. He revealed that Pediatorkorpe and other island communities equipped with Easy Water filtration devices, remained safe and largely untouched by the crisis. Even more inspiring, he noted a significant decrease in diarrhea cases in all areas served by the organization. “This is not just about water,” Dr. Narh remarked. “It’s about health, hope, and resilience. Easy Water has changed the course of public health in this district.” A Vision with a Heart Also present at the event was Hon. Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, Member of Parliament for Ada, who shared her admiration for Nathan and Linda. “They have given us more than water—they have given us love, time, and the will to push forward,” she said. She pledged her commitment to support #EasyWater in providing safe water to more communities within the constituency. Nathan and Linda, visibly moved by the honor, expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the chiefs and people of Pediatorkorpe. They reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to expanding Easy Water’s impact across Ghana. “This is an honor and way beyond our expectations, but we deserve it. This is a big surprise, and we do accept it with our whole heart. Thank you all very much,” Linda added. A New Chapter Begins As we reflect on a decade of impact, this cultural honor is not just a reward—it is a call to do more, reach farther, and build stronger partnerships in the years ahead. With momentum building and trust deepening, the next decade promises to deliver even greater frontiers in water accessibility, community empowerment, and public health. The people of Pediatorkorpe and the other island communities have spoken—not only with titles, but with their hearts. They have crowned Nathan and Linda not just as leaders, but as family. Here’s to 10 years of clean water, dignity, and hope—and to the many more years to come.

A Gratifying Tale of Health and Hope: How Clean Water is Giving the Elderly a New Lease on Life

In the quiet island village of Agbokapanya in the Ada East District of Ghana, 62-year-old Mr. Jacob Narteh Otutey finds something many pensioners can only dream of—peace, health, and dignity in retirement. Across many communities, the elderly remain one of the most vulnerable and overlooked groups. Often left out of public policy decisions and health interventions, they are quietly sidelined despite a lifetime of contribution to society. Yet, it is in these later years that they deserve the most care, compassion, and comfort. Mr. Otutey’s story is a heartening reminder of what happens when that care is finally given. A First Encounter That Changed Everything On his recent visit to Agbokapanya, Mr. Otutey came face to face with a piece of technology he never imagined would be part of his retirement journey—Easy Water for Everyone’s advanced water filtration system. What began as curiosity turned into awe. “It was shocking to observe the almost instant purification of seriously contaminated river water into safe drinking water,” he recalls. Having lived almost his entire life drinking safe water in the city, this moment in the village was nothing short of hope and dignity in retirement. From Risk to Relief For residents of Agbokapanya, river water has long been the default—despite its potential to cause waterborne diseases like bilharzia. But with Easy Water’s Gravity Water station in place, Mr. Otutey could see and feel the difference. The clear, clean water wasn’t just a visual relief—it was a lifesaving change. “The river water is dangerous,” he says. “But this new water is safe. I see it. I feel it. I know it.” He didn’t keep this revelation to himself. Moved by the impact of the clean water, Mr. Otutey took it upon himself to advocate within the community, urging families to stop using contaminated sources and embrace this new standard of living. Health, Strength, and the Joy of Retirement Today, Mr. Otutey enjoys his retirement with renewed strength and peace of mind. He no longer worries about water fetching or illness. The burden of survival has been replaced by the simple joy of living.“Thanks to Easy Water for Everyone, I am enjoying my retirement in peace,” he says with a smile that speaks volumes. Not Just a Story—A Testament For nearly a decade, Easy Water for Everyone has been providing innovative, sustainable water solutions to communities in need. While much of the spotlight often falls on women and children, Mr. Otutey’s experience shows that the elderly, too, are being empowered—one purified drop at a time. 👉🏾 Join us in bringing dignity and clean water to every corner of our communities—because every life matters, young or old. From Contamination to Purity: Juliet’s Inspiring Leap Towards a Brighter Future

The expression on 15-year-old Juliet Attah’s face says it all—relief, hope, and the joy of a new beginning. A student of Pediatorkorpe Junior High School in Ghana’s Ada East District, Juliet still remembers what life was like before Easy Water for Everyone arrived. “We used to walk long distances to fetch water from the Volta River—even though it was polluted and shared with animals. We had no choice. Many of my friends missed school because they were constantly sick with water-related diseases.” For Juliet and many children in her community, the search for clean water was not only exhausting—it was dangerous. The lack of safe drinking water threatened their health, their education, and their future. But that all changed with the installation of Easy Water for Everyone’s water filtration system right near her school. “It was a game-changer,” Juliet says. “It ended an age-old problem in my community, especially for girls like me. Now, we have clean water to drink, right here.” With our signature blue gallons—designed to prevent contamination—Juliet and her classmates are learning to store and use water safely. They are no longer victims of unsafe water, but proud advocates for hygiene and clean water. “Thanks to Easy Water, I am healthier, I go to school every day, and I now teach others how to protect our water. I feel empowered.” Thousands of Futures Transformed. Juliet’s story is one of over 30,000 lives changed across 40+ communities in Ghana, Senegal, and Uganda. Behind this success is a water filtration technology inspired by medical innovation and brought to life by Dr. Nathan W. Levin, a globally respected nephrologist, and co-founder Linda Donald. Together with partners and donors like you, we are not just delivering clean water—we are building brighter futures for women and children, one village at a time. Help Us Reach More Juliets As we mark 10 years of impact, we invite you to be part of the next chapter. Thousands still drink from unsafe sources. Many girls still miss school because of waterborne illness. Let’s change that—together. Every sip saves a future. Every drop counts.
Transforming Healthcare at Peadiatorkorpe Health Centre: The Impact of Easy Water for Everyone

Every year on April 7, the world comes together to celebrate World Health Day, a moment to reflect on global health challenges and solutions. This year’s theme, “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures,” focuses on enhancing the health and survival of mothers and newborns, raising awareness about preventable maternal and infant deaths. For mothers and babies across Africa, a healthy beginning starts with something often taken for granted elsewhere—clean water. At Easy Water for Everyone, we recognize that access to safe, potable water in healthcare facilities is not just about convenience; it is about saving lives. In Peadiatorkorpe, a small but vital health center serves as a lifeline for expectant mothers, newborns, and the surrounding communities. However, for years, the lack of clean potable water posed a serious threat to the health and survival of patients, particularly mothers and infants. Without safe water, medical staff struggled to maintain hygiene, newborns were at risk of infections, and simple medical procedures carried unnecessary dangers. That changed when Easy Water for Everyone stepped in. Providing Clean Water: A Lifeline for Maternal and Infant Health In line with our mission, we installed a safe and sustainable water filtration system at Peadiatorkorpe Health Centre, ensuring that medical professionals and patients have access to clean water. The impact has been life-changing: ✅ Safer Deliveries for Mothers & Newborns – With access to clean water, midwives can maintain proper hygiene during childbirth, reducing the risk of infections. ✅ Reduced Infant Mortality – Our solution ensures that newborns receive proper care, including clean feeding practices and sterile medical conditions. ✅ Improved Infection Control – Medical staff can now properly wash their hands, sterilize equipment, and maintain a hygienic environment for patient care. ✅ Better Postnatal and Pediatric Care – Mothers and babies can stay hydrated and healthy, reducing cases of dehydration-related complications. ✅ Healthier Community Outcomes – The over 20 island communities benefit as the risk of waterborne diseases like cholera and typhoid is significantly reduced. With the installation of clean water at Peadiatorkorpe Health Centre, we are not just improving healthcare; we are saving lives and securing hopeful futures for mothers, infants, and the entire community. Together, We Can Secure tomorrow At Easy Water for Everyone, we believe that clean water is a right, not a privilege. And with your continued support, we can extend this life-saving impact to even more health centers across Ghana and beyond. 💙 Join us in our mission—support, donate, and help ensure every mother and child has access to safe, clean water! #WorldHealthDay2025 #HealthyBeginnings #HopefulFutures #CleanWaterForAll #SafeBirths #CleanWaterForAll #SafeBirths #HealthyBeginnings #HopefulFutures #EasyWaterGhana

World Kidney Day 2025: The Vital Role of Clean Water in Kidney Health and Child Survival

On World Kidney Day 2025, we highlight a crucial yet often overlooked factor in the fight against kidney disease: clean drinking water. While many may not realize it, access to safe water plays a pivotal role in preventing kidney-related illnesses. For millions worldwide, particularly in remote African villages, water is not just a basic necessity—it is a matter of life and death. Clean Water: A Key Factor in Preventing Kidney Disease Kidney disease, a silent yet deadly condition, is closely linked to the availability of clean water. Chronic dehydration—often caused by drinking unsafe water—can lead to kidney stones, urinary tract infections, and eventually chronic kidney disease (CKD). Without proper hydration, the kidneys struggle to filter waste, increasing the risk of kidney failure, which may require dialysis or a transplant. Easy Water for Everyone: A Mission to Save Lives A decade ago, Linda Donald and Dr. Nathan Levin co-founded Easy Water for Everyone with a clear mission: to ensure that children under five have access to clean drinking water. They recognized that contaminated water was a leading cause of diarrhea, which could lead to acute kidney injury in young children. Having spent decades working in dialysis and kidney disease treatment, Linda and Nathan understood that preventing kidney-related illnesses required more than just medical care—it required access to safe water. For them, Easy Water for Everyone was not just about clean drinking water; it was about saving lives at the source. Sustainable Solutions for Clean Drinking Water Through Easy Water for Everyone, Linda and Nathan have worked tirelessly to bring simple, sustainable water solutions to underserved communities. By collaborating with local leaders, schools, and healthcare providers, they have helped implement low-cost water purification methods, rehabilitate existing water sources, and educate communities on safe water practices. Their efforts have transformed villages in Ghana, Senegal, and Uganda, where waterborne diseases were once widespread. Before Easy Water’s interventions, families had no choice but to drink unsafe water, exposing children to severe health risks. Founder and Director of Kidney Health International, Dr. Elliot Koranteng Tannor, has revealed that there is a direct correlation between drinking clean water and kidney health. “Whilst all fluid counts towards your fluid intake, water is one of the healthiest choices when it comes to maintaining kidney health. To reduce the risk of kidney disease, you must stay hydrated at all times,” he said. He called on individuals and corporate organizations to support organizations working in the water sector and commended Easy Water for Everyone’s innovative solution of ensuring that clean water reaches even the remotest villages. Today, the impact is clear: ✅ Diarrheal diseases have significantly decreased ✅ Children are healthier and less vulnerable to acute kidney injuries ✅ Families can now rely on safe, clean drinking water How You Can Help The fight for clean water and kidney health is far from over. With your support, we can: ✅ Expand access to safe drinking water in more communities ✅ Prevent kidney disease caused by unsafe water and dehydration ✅ Reduce child mortality linked to waterborne diseases This World Kidney Day, join us in ensuring that every child has a chance to survive, and every adult has a fighting chance against kidney disease. Because clean water isn’t just essential—it’s lifesaving.
Empowering Women: Patricia Owula’s Soap-Making Journey

In the heart of Kewuse, an island community in the Ada East District of Greater Accra, Ghana, lives a woman whose story embodies resilience, empowerment, and the transformative power of opportunity. Patricia Owula, a 50-year-old mother and community member, has become a symbol of hope and change, thanks to the support of Easy Water for Everyone. From Backwasher to Entrepreneur For years, Patricia’s life revolved around the daily struggle for survival. Like many women in rural Ghana, she faced the dual burden of poverty and limited access to basic amenities, including clean water. But Patricia’s life took a dramatic turn when Easy Water for Everyone intervened with the provision of clean water. She played a pivotal role during the installation of our gravity water station in her community. Backwashing, a critical maintenance process that ensures the longevity and efficiency of the water filtration system, is traditionally seen as a male-dominated activity. However, Patricia stepped up, defying societal norms and proving that women are just as capable of handling technical roles. Her dedication ensures that the community enjoys a consistent supply of clean, potable water. She has been the only female backwasher for almost a decade. In 2019, Easy Water for Everyone sponsored her to undergo a skills training program in soap making, equipping her with the knowledge to start a home business. Today, Patricia is a proud entrepreneur, producing and selling liquid soap to churches, schools, and individuals in and around her community. Her business has not only improved her family’s economic standing but has also given her a sense of purpose and independence. Empowering Other Women Patricia sees herself as a role model for other women, especially those without employable skills. By sharing her expertise, she hopes to encourage more women to become self-reliant. Her story is just one example of our commitment to empowering women in rural communities. We understand that access to clean water is only the first step in breaking the cycle of poverty. Empowered women are better able to support their families, educate their children, and contribute to local economies. Accelerate Action As we celebrate International Women’s Day 2025 under the theme “Accelerate Action”, Patricia’s story serves as a powerful reminder of the work that still needs to be done. While progress has been made, with your support, we can create a more equitable world where every woman has the opportunity to thrive. Donate Today!
