Impact of Clean Water on Public Health

One of the key objectives of Easy Water for Everyone is to provide valuable data on the effects of clean, pure water on public health, specifically in rural villages. Despite its crucial role, little data exists on the significant impact clean water has on the well-being of children and families in these communities. We are committed to filling this gap and contributing meaningful insights to the scientific community and government health organizations.

Ongoing Research and Data Collection

We are conducting a comprehensive, data-driven study to measure the effects of providing clean, safe water on public health outcomes in rural villages. This study focuses on pre- and post-intervention data to accurately assess the impact of clean water, particularly in reducing childhood illnesses such as diarrhea and related diseases.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Children's Health: Evaluating the reduction in waterborne illnesses, especially diarrhea, which disproportionately affects children in rural villages.

  • Family Impact: Assessing how access to clean water improves the overall health and well-being of families.

Data Collection Approach

To ensure thorough and accurate analysis, we’ve designed several research initiatives that gather data from both the community and healthcare facilities before and after the installation of our water purification devices.

Methods:

  • Community & Healthcare Data: Data is collected using case report forms filled out by community workers and clinical research coordinators. This includes tracking health outcomes across various healthcare facilities and communities.

  • Household Information: We also collect detailed household data, including family demographics, household size, and access to sanitation facilities, to better understand the broader factors influencing health outcomes.

  • Electrolyte Replacement & Referrals: We track the distribution of electrolyte replacement packages at the village level and monitor healthcare facility referrals to cross-validate trends and ensure accuracy.
